NTPC Green Energy is the renewable energy subsidiary of NTPC, listed in November 2024, developing and operating utility-scale solar and wind projects with a large under-construction and awarded pipeline, alongside emerging green hydrogen/green chemicals initiatives (including the Pudimadaka green hydrogen hub). It sells power under long-term PPAs with SECI, states and group entities. Growth is driven by NTPC group's target of scaling renewables capacity to 60 GW by 2032, with the parent channelling its RE build-out through this entity.
It is one of India's largest public-sector renewable energy platforms by operating and contracted capacity.
