Petronet LNG owns and operates India's largest LNG import and regasification infrastructure — the Dahej terminal in Gujarat (its profit engine, running at high utilisation) and the Kochi terminal (historically underutilised pending pipeline connectivity). Promoted jointly by GAIL, ONGC, IOC and BPCL, it earns tolling-style regasification charges with contracted capacity from its promoter offtakers and long-term Qatar LNG supply arrangements. Dahej capacity expansion and new terminals/petrochemical forays are growth levers.
It handles the largest share of India's LNG imports through Dahej, the world's busiest LNG terminals by utilisation.
