GAIL (India) is the country's principal natural gas transmission and marketing PSU, owning and operating the largest cross-country gas pipeline network and trading domestic and imported LNG. Other segments include petrochemicals (polyethylene at Pata), LPG and liquid hydrocarbons, LPG transmission, and city gas distribution through stakes in IGL, MGL and its own GAIL Gas. Gas marketing and transmission tariffs are the dominant earnings drivers.
