Hindustan Zinc is an integrated zinc-lead-silver producer, majority owned by Vedanta with the Government of India holding a minority stake. It operates mines and smelters in Rajasthan, including the Rampura Agucha mine, producing refined zinc and lead along with silver as a significant by-product; it also has captive power generation. Revenue is driven by LME-linked zinc and lead prices, silver volumes, and cost position from its fully integrated mining-smelting operations.
It is India's largest and one of the world's largest integrated zinc producers, and among the world's top silver producers.
