What Godawari Power & Ispat does

Godawari Power & Ispat is a Raipur-based integrated steel producer with captive iron ore mines in Chhattisgarh, making iron ore pellets (a key profit driver, including merchant sales), sponge iron, billets, wire rods and ferro alloys, supported by captive power. Its mining integration gives it a cost position unusual among mid-cap steelmakers, and it has been expanding pellet capacity and pursuing a steel plant expansion while remaining largely debt-free.

Among the lowest-cost mid-cap steel/pellet producers in India due to captive iron ore.

Financial ratios, as filed

Consolidated annual figures taken from Godawari Power & Ispat Ltd.'s own filed statements — not estimates, and not restated by us. The most recent period shown is FY26 (year ended 31 Mar 2026).

Per-share figures are not restated. Shares outstanding changed from 12.47 crore to 61.29 crore in FY25, consistent with a bonus issue or stock split. Each year's EPS and book value below are as that year was filed, on that year's share count — so the per-share line falls across FY25 even where profit did not. Compare the absolute figures (EBITDA, free cash flow, total debt) and the margins across that boundary, not the per-share ones.
