What Bajaj Finance does

Bajaj Finance is India's largest non-bank lender, with a diversified retail book spanning consumer durable financing (its original moat at electronics store checkouts), personal loans, two-wheeler finance, SME and commercial lending, loans against securities, and rural finance, plus a large deposits franchise. Its subsidiaries include Bajaj Housing Finance (mortgages) and Bajaj Financial Securities, and its app-based cross-sell ecosystem to a customer franchise of over 100 million drives fee and loan growth. Earnings hinge on AUM growth, NIM and credit costs across consumer credit cycles.

India's largest NBFC by market capitalization and among the largest by AUM.

Financial ratios, as filed

Consolidated annual figures taken from Bajaj Finance Ltd.'s own filed statements — not estimates, and not restated by us. The most recent period shown is FY26 (year ended 31 Mar 2026).

Per-share figures are not restated. Shares outstanding changed from 62.09 crore to 621.79 crore in FY26, consistent with a bonus issue or stock split. Each year's EPS and book value below are as that year was filed, on that year's share count — so the per-share line falls across FY26 even where profit did not. Compare the absolute figures (EBITDA, free cash flow, total debt) and the margins across that boundary, not the per-share ones.
