What Syngene International does

Syngene International, a subsidiary of Biocon, is a contract research, development and manufacturing organization (CRDMO) providing discovery chemistry and biology, preclinical and clinical development, and commercial-scale manufacturing (small molecules and biologics) to global pharma, biotech and agrochemical clients. It runs dedicated research centres for clients such as Bristol Myers Squibb and Baxter, and has added US biologics capacity. Revenue is driven by long-term research collaborations and a growing manufacturing/CDMO mix.

It is India's largest listed contract research organization.
