Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd is a state-owned railway infrastructure company that executes projects for the Ministry of Railways — new lines, doubling, gauge conversion, railway electrification, workshops, and metro/RRTS works — historically on a nomination (cost-plus fee) basis, and increasingly through competitive bidding including Vande Bharat manufacturing-cum-maintenance consortium bids and overseas projects. Revenue is driven by railway capex allocation and its order book.
It is one of the largest executors of Indian Railways capex among listed rail PSUs.
