National Fertilizers (NFL) is a government-owned fertiliser producer primarily manufacturing neem-coated urea across plants at Nangal, Bathinda, Panipat and Vijaipur, and also trading/marketing other fertilisers (DAP, NPK, imported urea), seeds and agrochemicals. Urea sales operate under India's subsidy regime, so earnings depend on energy efficiency versus norms, subsidy receivable cycles and traded-goods margins rather than open-market pricing. It is one of India's largest urea producers by volume.
It is among India's top urea manufacturers, operating under the Department of Fertilizers.
