What NEOGEN CHEMICALS does

Neogen Chemicals manufactures bromine-based and lithium-based specialty chemicals — organic bromine derivatives for pharma, agrochemical and flavour-fragrance intermediates, and inorganic lithium salts. It is scaling a battery-chemicals business (electrolyte salts such as LiPF6 and electrolyte formulations for lithium-ion cells), including technology tie-ups with Japanese partners, positioning it in India's EV battery supply-chain localisation. Legacy bromine specialty chemistry remains the current revenue base while battery materials are the growth bet.

It is one of India's earliest movers in lithium electrolyte salts and battery electrolyte manufacturing.
