InterGlobe Aviation operates IndiGo, India's largest airline, running a low-cost, high-utilisation model built on a large Airbus A320-family (and A321XLR/ATR) fleet with one of the biggest aircraft order books globally. Revenue is driven by domestic passenger volumes, where it carries the majority of Indian air traffic, plus fast-growing international operations, cargo, and ancillary income; fuel costs and the rupee-dollar rate are the key cost swing factors. It has been adding loyalty, business-class (IndiGoStretch) and long-haul elements to the model.
It is India's largest airline with over 60% domestic market share and among the largest airlines in the world by aircraft on order.
