IIFL Finance is a retail-focused NBFC with a diversified book spanning gold loans, home loans (via IIFL Home Finance), microfinance (IIFL Samasta), loans against property and digital/unsecured lending, operating a large branch network with co-lending partnerships with banks. Revenue is driven by net interest income across these retail segments; gold loans and affordable housing are the largest value drivers. In 2024 the RBI temporarily barred its gold-loan business over compliance issues, a ban since lifted.
It is one of India's larger diversified retail NBFCs and among the top gold-loan NBFCs after Muthoot and Manappuram.
