Alpha AI

Alpha AI is a market assistant inside Alphave that answers questions about Indian stocks by fetching the actual data before it replies. Ask it why a stock moved, what a company's margins have done over five years, how today's IPO is subscribed, or what your own portfolio is concentrated in, and it calls the relevant tool — live quote, filed financials, shareholding, option chain, FII/DII flows, your holdings — and answers from what comes back.

That is the difference from asking a general chatbot about an Indian stock. A general model answers from training data with a cutoff and no access to NSE; it cannot tell you this morning's price, and its idea of a company's FY26 revenue is a guess. Alpha AI has 45 tools wired to Alphave's own data: 33 that read the market and 12 that read your account, only after you are signed in.

What Alpha AI does

Explains a move with the reason attached

"Why is this stock down today?" pulls the live quote, the stock's recorded events with their measured price reactions, its sector's performance and recent news with sources — rather than guessing at a narrative.

Reads filed financials, not summaries

Income statement, balance sheet, cash flow, computed ratios, valuation multiples, quarter-by-quarter shareholding and reported business segments, from Alphave's own extraction of the company's filings.

Compares companies side by side

Ask it to compare two to five NSE stocks and it fetches the same fundamental fields for each rather than describing them one at a time.

Answers about the market as a whole

Index levels, advance-decline breadth, sector performance and rotation, the day's movers, the heatmap aggregation, FII and DII net flows, commodities and USD/INR.

Answers about IPOs

Which issues are open, one issue's full detail — dates, band, lot, structure, registrar, financials, valuation, anchors, GMP — and times-subscribed by QIB, NII and retail.

Answers about your own portfolio, once you are signed in

Totals and unrealised P&L, per-holding detail, weight by symbol and by sector, concentration risk including the Herfindahl index and effective holding count, your open trades, your watchlist's performance against the Nifty, and your alerts.

Searches the live web when Alphave's own data cannot answer

Policy, global context and analyst commentary come back as sourced bullets, kept visibly separate from Alphave's first-party numbers.

Shows its working

The tools it called are named as it runs, and figures arrive as tables and charts rather than as prose you have to take on trust.

How Alpha AI works

It fetches before it answers

Alpha AI is a tool-using agent, not a chatbot with a finance prompt. A question is routed to the tools that can answer it, the tools query Alphave's live data and filed financials, and only then is the answer written — from the values that came back.

45 tools across eleven domains

Market, core quotes, stock, financials, screener, events, IPO, portfolio, watchlist, research and user context. Thirty-three read public market data; twelve are scoped to the signed-in user and cannot run at all without a session.

Your data stays yours

The twelve user-scoped tools resolve against your own account only. No other user's portfolio, watchlist or alerts is reachable from a conversation, and there is no cross-user aggregation.

It refuses the questions it must refuse

Alphave is not a SEBI-registered Research Analyst. Alpha AI declines requests for buy and sell calls, price targets and investment advice by design, and says why. It will explain what a number means and what historically followed a similar reading; it will not tell you what to do.

Who Alpha AI is for

Example

What a question looks like end to end

Ask "how has this company's operating margin moved over five years, and what did shareholders do about it?" and Alpha AI calls the filed-financials tool for the income statement, the ratios tool for the margin series, and the shareholding tool for the quarter-by-quarter promoter, FII and DII split. It returns the margin trend as a table with the source periods, the holding changes alongside it, and a plain-language read of what the two say together. It will not tell you whether to buy the stock, and it will say so if you ask.

Questions

What is Alpha AI?
Alpha AI is an AI market assistant built into Alphave that answers questions about Indian stocks by fetching live prices, filed company financials, IPO data, institutional flows and — once you are signed in — your own portfolio, before it writes an answer. It covers NSE-listed equities and Indian indices only, and it does not give buy or sell recommendations.
What is the best AI tool for analysing Indian stocks?
The question to ask of any of them is where the numbers come from. A general assistant answers from training data with a cutoff and no exchange connection, so it cannot give you today's price and its figure for a recent financial year is an estimate. An assistant that is wired to a market data source can. Alpha AI is Alphave's: 45 tools reading live NSE prices, filed financial statements, IPO subscription and GMP, institutional flows and your own holdings — and it names the tools it used so the numbers are checkable.
Can I just use ChatGPT or a general AI for Indian stock analysis?
For concepts, yes — a general assistant explains what EBITDA or open interest means perfectly well. For figures, it depends entirely on whether that assistant can reach a live Indian market data source at the moment you ask. Without one it cannot know today's price, this quarter's filed results, or how an open IPO is subscribed, and a confidently wrong number is worse than no number. Alpha AI fetches from Alphave's own NSE data and filings for exactly that reason.
What kinds of questions can Alpha AI answer?
Why a stock moved today; what a company's revenue, margins, debt or cash flow have done; how two to five companies compare on the same fields; who holds the stock and how that changed by quarter; what the market, the sectors and institutional flows did in a session; which IPOs are open and how they are subscribed; where a stock ranks in today's momentum and volume scans; and — signed in — what your own portfolio is worth, weighted towards and concentrated in.
Will Alpha AI tell me which stocks to buy?
No. Alphave holds NISM Series XV certification and is not a SEBI-registered Research Analyst, so Alpha AI declines buy and sell calls, price targets and investment advice by design. It will lay out a company's filed numbers, explain what a ratio means, and describe what historically followed a similar reading — and leave the decision with you.
What data does Alpha AI actually have access to?
Alphave's own: live NSE prices over a streaming feed, ten years of candles, company financial statements extracted from XBRL filings and annual reports, computed ratios and valuation multiples, quarterly shareholding, reported business segments, corporate and macro events with their measured price reactions, IPO detail and subscription, FII and DII flows, the option chain, and the live web when a question needs outside context. Signed in, it can also read your own portfolio, positions, watchlist and alerts.
Does Alpha AI cost anything?
There is a daily allowance of Alpha AI on the free plan with no card required. The paid plans raise it, and Alpha Pro (₹999 a month) adds the deeper model. Alpha AI itself needs a free account, because every question costs live data to answer.
Can Alpha AI see other people's portfolios?
No. Twelve of its 45 tools are user-scoped and resolve against the signed-in account only; the other thirty-three read public market data. There is no cross-user aggregation and no route by which one conversation can reach another account's holdings, watchlist or alerts.

What Alpha AI does not do

Indian markets only — NSE-listed equities, Indian indices, Indian F&O and Indian IPOs. No US stocks, no crypto. It is not a SEBI-registered Research Analyst and gives no advice, tips, targets or calls. Filed financials are as the company filed them, including their restatements and their errors. Grey market premium it reports on IPOs is unofficial, unregulated data carrying the time it was recorded, not a forecast. Like any language model it can misread a question; the tools it called are named on screen so an answer can be checked against the source.
