Tejas Networks designs and manufactures telecom networking equipment — optical transmission (DWDM/OTN), broadband access (GPON, FTTx), routers/switching, and 4G/5G wireless RAN — selling to telecom operators, ISPs, utilities and government networks in India and abroad. It is controlled by the Tata group (via Panatone/Tata Sons) and, with Tata's TCS, supplied the RAN for BSNL's pan-India 4G/5G rollout, its largest order to date, making earnings lumpy and tender-driven. It also owns chipmaker Saankhya Labs.
It is India's leading domestic telecom equipment OEM.
