Solar Industries India is India's largest maker of industrial explosives and initiating systems (detonators, detonating cords), serving mining (Coal India is a key customer), infrastructure and construction, with manufacturing across India and several overseas markets. Through subsidiary Economic Explosives it has built a fast-growing defence business — ammunition, propellants, warheads and the Nagastra loitering-munition family — which is a major order-book driver. Revenue splits across domestic explosives, overseas operations and defence.
It is the market leader in Indian industrial explosives and a prominent private-sector ammunition player.
