What PCBL Chemical does

PCBL (formerly Phillips Carbon Black), an RP-Sanjiv Goenka group company renamed PCBL Chemical, is India's largest carbon black manufacturer, supplying tyre and rubber companies domestically and via exports, with specialty carbon black grades for plastics, inks and coatings as a higher-margin growth segment. It generates surplus power from waste gases at its plants and has diversified into specialty chemicals through the acquisition of Aquapharm (phosphonates, water-treatment chemicals) and a battery-chemicals JV. Tyre-industry demand and spreads over feedstock (carbon black feedstock oil) drive earnings.

It is India's largest and among the world's top carbon black producers.
