Motherson Sumi Wiring India (MSWIL) is the listed pure-play wiring harness business serving the Indian automotive market, demerged in 2022 from the erstwhile Motherson Sumi Industries; Sumitomo Wiring Systems of Japan is a co-promoter with technology support. It designs and manufactures wiring harnesses and components for passenger vehicles, commercial vehicles, two-wheelers and farm equipment, supplying nearly all major India-based OEMs. Revenue tracks domestic vehicle production volumes and rising per-vehicle electronic content, including EV harness programmes.
It is the dominant wiring harness supplier in India with a large share of the domestic passenger vehicle harness market.
