What Hyundai Motor India does

Hyundai Motor India is the Indian subsidiary of Korea's Hyundai Motor Company and listed on the NSE in October 2024 in India's then-largest IPO. It manufactures and sells passenger vehicles — with a strong SUV-led portfolio including the Creta, Venue, Exter, Verna, i20 and Grand i10 Nios — from its Chennai plants, and is adding capacity at the former GM Talegaon plant. Revenue is driven by domestic PV sales, exports to emerging markets, and a growing SUV and EV mix (Creta Electric, Ioniq 5).

It is India's second-largest passenger vehicle maker by sales after Maruti Suzuki and a leading PV exporter from India.
