In the Bank Nifty
The Bank Nifty contribution table (IMAP) shows which sectors and stocks actually moved the Bank Nifty today, and by how much. A stock's contribution is its weight in the index times its move today, divided by 100, in percentage points of the index's move, so a heavy stock that rises a little can count for more than a small one that rises a lot. A heatmap tells you what is up and down; contribution tells you what moved the index.

Contributions in percentage points of the Bank Nifty's move, from the same weights as the table. Live NSE prices; market capitalisation from NSE's daily figures. Figures are for information only, not advice.
The contribution itself: positive added to the Bank Nifty's move today, negative took away. A sector row adds up its stocks, and rows are sorted by the size of their contribution.
Return is the weighted average move of the row's stocks, so it always points the same way as Impact. Weight is the row's share of the Bank Nifty.
The weakest and strongest stock's move in the row, how many stocks it holds, and the share of them rising and falling today.
Open a row down to single stocks for each one's % change, contribution, last price, volume and weight in the index.
Each stock's weight is its free-float market capitalisation as a share of the index's total.
Contributions are in percentage points of the index's % move: if the Bank Nifty is up 1% and a stock's contribution is +0.20, that stock accounts for 0.20 of that 1%. To turn it into index points, multiply by the index's level and divide by 100: at 25,000, +0.20 is about 50 points.
On a computer, the sector rows refresh every 10 seconds in market hours; a sector or sub-sector you open shows its stocks as of when you opened it. On a phone, this address shows the heatmap of the same stocks.
To see the same stocks as tiles coloured by today’s move, open the Bank Nifty heatmap.
How much each sector and stock added to or took away from the Bank Nifty's move today, weighted by its share of the index. It answers which stocks moved the index, rather than which stocks went up.

Its weight in the index (its free-float market capitalisation as a share of the index's total) times its move today, divided by 100. A sector's contribution is the sum of its stocks'.
No, in percentage points of the index's % move. To convert, multiply a contribution by the index's level and divide by 100: at 25,000, a contribution of +0.20 is about 50 index points.
IMAP is Alphave's index contribution table: it maps an index's move today onto the sectors, sub-sectors and stocks that made it, using each stock's weight in the index.
Because contribution scales with weight. A stock that is 10% of an index and rises 1% adds 0.10 percentage points; a stock that is 0.5% of it and rises 10% adds only 0.05.
Yes, in market hours its sector rows refresh every 10 seconds. A sector or sub-sector you open shows its stocks as of when you opened it; open it again for the latest. Outside market hours it shows the last session.
