R R Kabel manufactures wires and cables — house wires are its stronghold, plus power and specialty cables — sold under the RR Kabel brand largely through the electrician/retail channel, with a meaningful export business. It also has an FMEG segment (fans, lighting, switches and appliances) built partly through acquiring Luminous Power's home electrical business, though FMEG remains margin-dilutive versus the core wires business.
It is among India's top five branded wires and cables makers, with particular strength in house wires and exports.
