Narayana Hrudayalaya (Narayana Health), founded by cardiac surgeon Dr Devi Shetty, operates a chain of multispecialty hospitals and heart centres across India with flagship health cities in Bengaluru and Kolkata, known for high-volume, low-cost cardiac sciences, oncology and other tertiary care. It also owns a profitable offshore hospital in the Cayman Islands (Health City Cayman Islands) serving international patients, and is building an integrated insurance offering (Narayana Health Insurance). Revenue drivers are India bed occupancy/case mix and the high-margin Cayman operations.
It is one of India's largest hospital chains by bed capacity and a global benchmark for affordable cardiac surgery volumes.
