What Graphite India does

Graphite India manufactures graphite electrodes used in electric-arc-furnace steelmaking, with plants in Durgapur, Bengaluru and Nashik, selling to steel producers in India and export markets. It also has smaller businesses in calcined petroleum coke, impervious graphite equipment and glass-reinforced pipes, plus captive power. Earnings are highly cyclical, swinging with global EAF steel utilisation and electrode prices, as the 2018 super-cycle demonstrated.

One of the two dominant Indian graphite electrode producers alongside HEG.
