What Concord Biotech does

Concord Biotech is an Ahmedabad-based biopharma company specialising in fermentation-derived APIs, with global leadership in immunosuppressants such as tacrolimus, mycophenolate and cyclosporine, plus oncology and anti-infective APIs. It is forward-integrating into formulations for these niches. Its moat lies in complex fermentation manufacturing capacity and regulatory approvals across the US and other regulated markets; it listed in 2023 and counts the late Rakesh Jhunjhunwala's Rare Enterprises among its backers.

It is one of the world's leading suppliers of fermentation-based immunosuppressant APIs by volume.
