What Cipla does

Cipla is one of India's largest pharmaceutical companies, with leadership in respiratory therapies (inhalers), anti-infectives and urology in the domestic branded-generics market, and a historically pioneering role in affordable HIV antiretrovirals. Its key markets are India, North America (complex generics including respiratory and peptide products) and South Africa, where it is a top-tier player. Revenue is driven by chronic-therapy branded generics in India and limited-competition launches in the US.

It is consistently among the top three players in the Indian pharmaceutical market by domestic sales.
