NLC India (formerly Neyveli Lignite Corporation) is a government-owned integrated mining and power company operating large lignite mines at Neyveli (Tamil Nadu) and Barsingsar (Rajasthan), a coal mine in Odisha (Talabira), and pithead thermal power stations fuelled by its own lignite/coal. It has a sizeable and growing renewables portfolio (solar and wind) and new thermal JVs (including NTPL and projects supplying Tamil Nadu and other states).
